Strawberry-basil margarita

Frome Cosmopolitan – Total time 5 minutes – Makes 4 cocktails

  • 4 oz. tequila
  • 4 oz. triple sec
  • 2 oz. Rose's Sweetened Lime Juice
  • 8 oz. fresh huiled strawberries
  • 4 cups ice
  • Strawberry slices, lime wedges, and basil leaves (for garnish)

In blender, combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, strawberries, and ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses, then garnish with strawberry slices, lime wedges, and/or basil leaves.

Orange-ginger margarita

From Country Living – Total time 10 minutes – Makes 4 cocktailes

  • 1 can (12 oz.) frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 10 oz. tequila
  • 6 oz. gingr liqueur (such as Domaine de Canton)
  • 1 tsp. grated ginger
  • 4 cups ice
  • 2 Tbsp. kosher or margarita salt Crystallized ginger (for garnish)
  1. In blender, combine frozen orange juice concentrate (reserve 1 table-spoon), tequila, ginger liqueur, ginger, and ice. Blend until ice is crushed.
  2. On a small plate, place reserved orange juice concentrate. On another small plate, place margarita salt. Dip rims of glasses in concentrate and then in salt. Fill glasses, then garnish with crystallized ginger, if desired.

Each cocktail about 450 calories, 2 g protein, 51 g carbohydrate, 0 g total fat, 1 g fiber, 0 mg cholesterol, 370 mg sodium.
